Sharing Session of the Third Director Candidate

After a selection process and an interview with the qualified applicant, the Search Committee recommends Prof. Yip Ching Wah Francis (葉菁華教授) as the candidate of the next Director. Prof. Yip Ching Wah Francis received his B.Soc.Sc. (Journalism and Communication, 1989) and M.Div. (1995) from CUHK. He then received a Th.D. (Historical and Systematic Theology, 2004) from Harvard Divinity School, Harvard University. He joined the Divinity School of Chung Chi College as a Mission Enhancement Project Executive (2000-2005) and was appointed as the Associate Director of Centre for Christian Studies in December 2006. He was promoted from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor in 2011 and took up the post of Associate Director (Research and Publication) of our School in April 2016. Now he is the Director of the Centre for Christian Studies and Associate Director of Christian Study Centre on Chinese Religion and Culture. His research focuses on Hong Kong Christianity, Chinese Protestant Theology and Practices, Theology and Social Thought of Paul Tillich, and Christianity, modernity and global capitalism. Prof. Yip has been a Local Preacher of the Methodist Church, Hong Kong since 2013.

A public presentation by Prof. Yip and sharing session will be held on 14 March 2019 at 8:00pm-9:30pm, venue at Chapel, President Chi-tung Yung Memorial Building.
