Riot Charge Against Our Student LAM Shun Hin Has Been Dropped

Our student LAM Shun Hin (BA, Theology Major, Year 1) was arrested by the police in the morning of February 10, 2016 when he was going to depart at the airport for his family trip.  He was being suspected of involvement in the Mongkok unrest over the Chinese New Year and then prosecuted with riot charge.

As a defendant, Shun Hin has shown up in Kowloon City Court on April 2.  However, the prosecution reviewed the evidence against him and found insufficient grounds to prosecute, so the principal magistrate allowed the charge to be withdrawn.

The Divinity School is so grateful to receive various  comments and would like to thank everyone for caring and support Shun Hin.  Please keep our teachers, students and theological education in your prayers.
