Christian Education and Character Formation

This course is designed to equip educators with vision and accompanying skills for aligning Christian education to character formation. Students will be guided in developing a general understanding of how character is formed in childhood and throughout the lifespan. Different psychological and philosophical theories of moral/character development, including MASLOW ERIKSON, KOHLBERG, GILLIGAN, and MCLNTYRE will be examined. Also, students will be assisted in developing practical strategies and methodologies for supporting character development in the context of Christian Education.
