Prof. James D. G. Dunn, one of the leading New Testament scholars in the world, passed away on June 26, 2020 at the age of 80. He was for many years the Lightfoot Professor in the Department of Theology and Religion at the University of Durham. He was renowned for the New Perspective on Paul. In 2003, he was the keynote speaker of the 7th Chuen King Lecture with the topic “Jesus remembered”. He was also the Doktorvator of Rev. Prof. Lo Lung-kwong, former director of our divinity school.
